Here are a holiday tips you can use to prevent permanent stains:
1. Never scrub!
This can set the spot and turn it into a stain. The definition of a stain is a permanent spot that can’t be removed. When you call a carpet cleaner, use the word “spot.” That lets us know that it’s something we can remove.
2. If you have pet accidents or beverage spills, soak it up quickly with some towels. After you’ve soaked up most of the liquid, rinse the affected area with a clean, damp towel. After doing this, use another clean towel to dry it some more and then let it air dry. Doing this instead of using a spotter and scrubbing will increase the chances of removal.
